Who Am I?

I'm Sherry Brennan, a media executive working mostly as a consultant these days (because consolidation, with maybe a little ageism & salary constriction as contributing factors). I work remotely, and have realized this means I can travel whenever I want - which is a lot of the time! I'm an avid reader, hiker, and friend. And a very lucky woman.

I created this blog in September 2024 because I wanted a more personal and flexible space than Facebook to record my travel pics and thoughts. I live in Los Angeles, and have a 20 year old son who lives in DC. I am on a non-profit board based in DC, so I am able to visit pretty often. Like I said, lucky!

I love to travel, and am seldom home for more than a few weeks at a time. In 2023, I turned 60 and to celebrate went to Spain & Portugal with one friend (including 5 days Camino hike!), then to Paris with another. I also spent two weeks in Ireland, the last few days holed up with a friend while we both recovered from COVID. All in all it was a pleasant bout with the virus, and other than feeling like social pariahs we had a pretty good time! Thank goodness for her family, who delivered groceries and cough drops.
